WHO WE ARE

Two long-time industry professionals, with decades of experience at the major labels, Universal Music, Sony Music and BMG. We teamed up, to combine our expertise & skill-sets.

  • At the age of 19 I entered the music world as an intern and learned the biz from scratch. Leading to a three-year apprenticeship at Public Propaganda a dynamic music-marketing and promotion agency I’ve learned about club, press and radio promotion as well as music publishing.

    During that time, I’ve been working with several indie labels and all music majors, before I started my career as a marketing assistant at Universal Music Group in 2002.

    In my 18 years at UMG I developed further skills such as product management for local and international artists at different labels. I also took care of multi artist projects and campaigns at Universal Music’s Strategic Marketing department, specialized in tv-marketing and concepts. I then moved to the new formed digital division Consumer Development as Senior Brand & Curation Manager taking care of UMG’s own and operated brands, playlist curation, streaming strategies and ad campaigns.

    I extended my work by leading a small team as Head of Music Programming and Label Relation Manager, creating individual content, marketing campaigns and social media strategies to increase overall streams for new releases and established repertoire.

    In 2020 I’ve started a new chapter at Sony Music Germany as Head of Marketing for Catalogue, creating innovative campaigns for legacy artists and engage the TikTok audience with catalogue repertoire. Later my work as Director and Senior Director Catalogue enabled to mange a bigger team focusing on trending track marketing and legacy priorities. I was also a lecturer for catalog marketing at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg during that time.

    During my career I worked with diverse artists and different music genres such as Rock/Alternative, Club, EDM, Pop Mainstream and Schlager.

  • Before completing my studies of ‘Applied Cultural Sciences’ with a ‘Master of Arts’ degree, I joined Universal Music as an intern, after which I got my first real job at Sony Music’s tv promotion department. During Sony’s merger with ‘the old BMG’ back then, I decided to switch over to Gun Records, Sony Music’s Rock and HipHop imprint at the time. After Gun’s closure in 2009 I joined Universal Music, taking care of domestic projects at Polydor Island Group. A rough 8.5 years later I decided it is time for another move, over to the new BMG to help them build and ultimately lead their newly found international marketing department for the GSA region as the Senior Director International Repertoire.

    Some highlights:
